According to Muir, the city manager firmly denied any such reports. “He told us there have been no credible reports of pets being harmed, injured, or abused by members of the immigrant community,” Muir shared with the audience.
Trump Doubles Down
Despite Muir’s fact-check, Trump insisted, “People on television say my dog was taken and used as food.” Once again, Muir reiterated that the city manager of Springfield found no evidence to support Trump’s statement.
