Struggle of Roasting Maestro Thugesh Unfiltered
Mahesh has always been an active and hard-working child. From a young age, Mahesh displayed a strong work ethic and an adventurous spirit. At just 16, he juggled jobs at an amusement park and a call centre. During this time, he launched a YouTube channel named ‘India’s Top 10’, showcasing his explorations of various cities. While pursuing a Commerce and Company Secretary degree Mahesh Keshwala got engaged in few Modelling competitions and projects. However, he soon felt burned out and decided to turn back to YouTube where he was surprisingly welcomed by five lakh views and $122 of earnings for the earlier videos. This provoked him enough to reinstate his YouTube journey from where he had left off.

Thugesh’s authenticity and abuse-free content sets him apart from other roasters. As per his own words, he is committed to creating family-friendly content that his own mother can watch. Staying away from insulting and controversial material not only aligns with his personal values but also appeals to brands looking for creators with a positive and relatable image. He also stated that roasting shall have limitations and he personally finds defaming unacceptable.
Into the grip of Depression
His journey to success, however, wasn’t a straight sailing. At one point, his channel faced demonetization due to YouTube policy changes and he was gripped by depression. Despite this setback, Thugesh did not lose hope. He took the bull by the horns and switched to facecam videos to regain monetization, which led to the deletion of 120 of his previous videos and major drop in followers. Although, soon this turning point proved to be a blessing in disguise, and his work gathered even more subscribers than before, whom he now affectionately calls, “Thugsena.”

Thugesh’s uniqueness lies in his ability to stay true to himself. He has learned over the years that veracity is key to connecting with an audience. In a country where creators often imitate Western styles, Thugesh believes in embracing his own accent and personality, making his content more relatable to Indian viewers. Although, by some haters, he faced allegations of content theft. To this he openly confessed to seeking inspiration from smaller creators in the past. However, he vehemently denies any plagiarism, asserting that he now prides himself on creating original content.

Beyond his YouTube endeavours, Thugesh has also explored the world of glamour. He has been a part of Ankit Tiwari’s music album “Mai Nahi Jaunga,” and several shows like Pune Fashion Week, India Fashion Week, and more.
